The Ingredients of yummy healthy Moroccan Chicken Tagine with the taste of Caramelized Pears:
- Take 7 spoons of olive oil
- 2 big sized onions, properly peeled and sliced
- 1 whole chicken in properly cut medium sized pieces
- 1 spoon of ground turmeric
- 1 spoon of ground cumin
- 1 spoon of ground coriander
- Salt as per taste
- 3 medium-sized cinnamon sticks
- Crushed bay leaves: 2
- 1 fresh bunch of cilantro which is finely chopped.
- 2 spoon of fresh ginger root finely minced
- 1/2 cup of water
- 2 spoons of butter
- 2 Fresh pears, cored and finely sliced
- Honey 2 tablespoons
Preparing the Moroccan Chicken Tagine in style to satisfy your Taste Buds
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Take a skillet and Heat 2 spoons of olive oil at medium flame. Add onions and cook till it is softened and browned. Cook for max 8 to 10 minutes. Now Transfer cooked onions into a tagine. Now make Layers with chicken pieces right on the cooked onions top.
Mix turmeric, ground coriander, cumin, and salt in a small glass bowl. Add remaining 5 spoons of olive oil and mix it well. Now spread the spice mixture on the pieces of chicken. Keep Adding on it cinnamon, bay leaves, cilantro and also ginger. Now add 1/2 cup of water in it and cover the tagine with a tight lid.
Now place the tagine in the oven and Bake it till the time chicken the color of the chicken bone changes from pink to light brown. Check if the juices are running clear or not. Bake it for about 50 minutes.
Take 2 spoons of butter and Melt it in a skillet at low flame when chicken is getting baked in the oven. Now take sliced pears and honey. Now cook, and keep stirring, till the time honey gets caramelized. Take the tagine out from the oven and stir it in the caramelized pears. Keep it back in the oven and then cook it for another 10 minutes.

Take one low depth wider base serving plate and pour the chicken into it. Cut onions in a circle shape and decorate the topping of the dish and spread finely chopped fresh coriander. You can serve this dish both with Indian bread or steamed rice.
